He makes me melt like a popsicle on the fourth of July
It was only on the second of July of this year that I published a post all about The Reasons I Think I’m Single, but also on this day I decided to re-download Tinder and reconnect with some of my previous matches that I’d had a good conversation with…enter Sam, my boyfriend. We didn’t wait around to go on the first date, and by the end of this date, I knew I wanted a relationship with him. When you know, you just know and there’s no point hanging around. It’s now three months later and we are still very much happy together (even if we do have to travel slightly to see each other, but it just makes that time together a little sweeter).
While both Sam and I have agreed that we have left the honeymoon phase behind in certain aspects of our relationship there are still certain aspects that are still in the honeymoon.

01. Getting to know each other
Getting to know each other is the main reason you spend an endless amount of hours talking at the start of the relationship, after all, there’s a chance that you know next to nothing about your partner. Even if you’ve known each other for years you might know them one way and when crossing into relationship territory in a different way…specifically in the bedroom. Nobody is going to hit all the right buttons on the first go, it’s going to take communication

02. The honeymoon phase
The very start of a relationship is always known as the honeymoon phase, it’s the time where; you want to spend every breathing moment together, always at it like rabbits, and rarely acknowledge your phones while in the presence of the other. It’s in the honeymoon phase that it’s the perfect time to wear your cutest underwear or nightwear (although don’t think you can’t treat your partner from time to time as the relationship goes on). I personally adore these Hunkmoller Chiffon Shorts* since they’re cute but they’re also slightly transparent which adds a hint of sexy.
While the honeymoon phase can be fun, it can also be quite stressful as you’re still trying to woo your partner and many barriers are yet to pass…including the first fart or your partner discover how much you dribble in your sleep. I know I’m extremely guilty of doing that.

03. Trying new things
It’s almost certain that your partner is going to have hobbies that you’ve never tried before, with Sam he loves bouldering and I’d never been before but after my session, I adore going and always feel such a level of accomplishment whenever I complete a new route. I’m always up to try new things, but something I’m not confident enough to do myself or it’s not something my friends would be interested so having a partner that loves it is just an absolute bonus.
You might not always just try new things outside the bedroom, you might get creative inside it and try something either one or neither of you have ever tried before but have both been curious about. It could be something simple from having sex by candlelight (which is romantic AF by the way) or trying a new position to exploring one of your partner’s kinks that you’ve never experienced before. Your sex life is up to you as a couple, and as long as your both happy and communicate with one another then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

Just remember that the start of a new relationship is the time to build a secure base which you can expand upon in the years to come after all the world is your oyster. You should continue to have a life outside of your partner, as well as one with them. What is your favourite thing about entering a new relationship?
