Pinterest Vomited On My Room

[pipdig_left] I think it’s safe to say I spent way too much time pinning things to my Bedroom Dreams board on Pinterest that now my room has been re-decorated it literally looks like Pinterest has just vomited all over it. I’m okay with it though. I have previously done a room tour in which I showed you what I’d done to spice up my university room for the year, and now I’m showing you my room at home.

No longer are the walls a horrible brown colour that my mum chose many years ago, (you can see a little section of my old room in this post) they’re now a lovely matte white (perfect for taking blog photos), and for once in my life, I don’t have second-hand furniture. All the furniture you can see (with the exception of the bed) is from Ikea, and I love the combination of white with the oak effect…adds a bit of dimension to my room.

A lot of the copper and rose gold items are actually just from George at Asda, they have some super cute items in at the moment and I kinda went a bit insane while picking nick nacks up. Sometimes you the best things are right under your nose and that’s something I discovered while re-decorating my room…plus it’s also useful to have sort of idea as to how you’d like the room to turn out.[/pipdig_left] [pipdig_right] My room feels a lot more open, grown up and uncluttered now…and it’s not even like I’ve thrown an awful lot of stuff away either. I’m also loving the fact that I once again have a desk in my room which gives me somewhere to actually work on blog posts and do university work whenever I pop home during the holidays. Plus I also got a set 5 Alex drawers underneath which stores all of my makeup nicely rather than having several sets of acrylic drawers which simply was not enough storage for my ever growing collection.
